Hei-matau – fishhook

The fishhook represents peace, prosperity, good luck and good health. And also safe journey, especially over water. Our Maori mastercarver Aden creates several different designs. Populare designs are koru, twists, mere, toki and more. We visited Aden’s workshop twice. It’s always wonderful to visit our artists.
