The original Kiwi dip recipe
Need some inspiration for a dip? Have a go at the original Kiwi dip.
This is indeed THE original one. And very easy to make. All you need is a sachet of Onion soup mix (from Maggi) and a 250ml can of (chilled) reduced cream (Nestle). And 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice or vinegar (optional).
Mix it all together and there is your dip!
We found a lovely lady online – the creator of the Kiwi dip – who demonstrates the making of this dip >>

Pohutukawa ceramic dip bowls
We love pohutukawa trees and have a massive pohutukawa at the front of our home. Our pohutukawa tree looks great when its in full bloom. Red flowers everwhere. These trees are our NZ Xmas tree… They always bloom from late October – December. Summertime! The pohutukawa is a coastal tree and we have many along Devonport’s waterfront. And we can see ourselves using these lovely pohutukawa bowls. Sitting on the deck… overlooking the Waitemata harbour and watching the yachts sail past.
