Poppy keyring…
Yes, we love poppies… And we love taking photos of poppies… beautiful fields of poppies! And we love having our own poppy keyring too! Our artist Ian created these lovely poppy keyrings. The red and black colours really ‘pop’.
About Ian’s work:
We LOVE Ian’s creative mind and delightful designs. We have featured Ian’s work for many years. Ian works a lot with rimu veneer. Ian’s work celebrates the iconic holiday lifestyle of the bach, the caravan, the beach store, friends and family. A simpler time when summer was endless and the rest of the world seemed far away.
A bit like it is for all of us at the moment… Hopefully we will be able to travel to all corners of the world again soon. In the meantime, we can send our NZ made gifts worldwide. So it is business as usual!

Red poppy day
The red poppy has become a symbol of war remembrance the world over. People in many countries wear the poppy to remember those who died in war or are serving in the armed forces. In many countries, the poppy is worn on Armistice Day (11 November), but in New Zealand it is most commonly seen on Anzac Day, 25 April.
